Service, repairs upgrades and wheel-building

Exmouth Cycles has a fully equipped workshop at our Exmouth town centre base and is the only Shimano service centre in Exmouth, so you can be assured that our technicians are properly trained and highly skilled to carry out whatever service task your bike needs. We tackle projects from straightforward repairs and upgrades to major overhauls and builds for the hard-core riders.

Our expertise includes wheel-building, by a DT Swiss trained technician. Our technicians are Cytec trained - that's the bicycle industry's training and accreditation scheme for mechanics. To get the best out of your bike, we recommend regular servicing to keep it in top condition. If you've had a component break down, we will repair it if we can or recommend a suitable replacement. Servicing

We offer three levels of inclusive service:

Brake and gear service
Mini-service (bearings re-lubed) + brake and gear service
Full service (bearings and brakes stripped, cleaned, re-assembled and re- lubed) + brake and gear service

We undertake all repairs from simple puncture tyre and tube replacements and gear adjustments to headset and rear suspension bearing kit replacements.

Wheel building

Exmouth Cycles offers a professional custom wheel building service and have established ourselves as one of the best places in Devon for this highly specialised service, carried out by highly skilled Cytec trained staff. With continued investments in the latest technology, we can ensure your wheel is built true. Our service includes a free first check after six weeks, and any adjustments will be made free of charge. Prices start from just £15 per wheel, plus parts.
